Stage 1- Branding
This is the first stage of my project where I start to create the branding for my design. I have decided to design a music hub/ venue.

My branding...
I looked at different fonts to see which I liked most, I decided on the last one because it is simple but has a play on the name "the point" because the edges of the letters are pointy (I think it fits well.)
I did not end up using text in my final branding design but still wanted to have one selected incase I wanted to incorporate it later.
The font name is "Superclarendon"
I then started to play around with different shapes and designs. I knew that I wanted my design to include stars or other shapes so I was trying to incorporate this here.
These were my test designs to see what I liked, none of these stuck as I progressed from here.
I liked the ones where I replaced the "o" of "point" with a star, however I felt like it looked as if it was supposed to to be an "a" so kept reading it as "paint", i did not like this so didn't stick with it.
This is where I started to find what I liked, I added different shapes to represent the letters of "POINT" as seen in the annotations of the word on the left.
I also progressed the word "the" into shapes where you can still tell what it says but it fits better with the shapes of the rest of the design.
I started to put it into a shape that could be used for my general logo, it is simple enough to be my main design however I do find it a bit boring.
I played around with the colors of it, I wanted the circle and triangle to be at the front of the rest of the shapes because I thought they looked like they could be a pause/ play button and considering my idea is music based, I thought this fit well.
Here I added more detail to the original shape design. I added the "the" into the rectangle so it doesn't look off when it's towards the side. As I said above I wanted to incorporate stars into it so I put a star into the circle.
These are all in black and white as they are a standard logo, my plan is to have a simple main logo and add color into it for different designs in later projects if I wish.
These are some examples of colored designs I made to show that the logo can be played about with depending on its use. (it can be changed for e.g. the color of the t-shirt, mug, the design of a hoodie etc)
I liked how they were slightly transparent so you could see the different layers and where they overlapped.
These are some alternative logo/ branding designs. My main theme is shapes/ stars, however depending on the use, I wanted the logo to be able to vary. These are some more designs i've made...
